    Exactly how I feel.

My first and last post in a thread about guys / gals that drive a truck and coincidentally have a Post it to YouTube-fetish.

Got better stuff to do than watch someone blab about driving a truck. *shrug*

For me it is not just about driving the truck it is art. It is also history. I look at it like this, the old cowboys from the old west, they were in effect for about 20 years yet we are very nostalgic for their lifestyle judging by the tons of books and movies about cowboys.

Truckers have been around about a century more or less and things are rapidly changing. We could very well be on the edge of going extinct like the old west cowboys right now. It is important to document our lives today so we and the next generations can look back on how we lived.

In 1996 I had the brand new 8 millimeter camcorder. I took it everywhere and filmed everything. People would laugh or especially try to shy away from being filmed certainly, which is ironic, 20 years on people are actively walking around taking selfie pics and videos of themselves virtually 24/7.

Things change with time and we see amazing stuff everyday, why take that 'video' in our heads to our grave to be deleted one day from the universe? Document cool stuff and share it I say.

I get what you're saying but I can't help but feel people are missing life pass them by because they've got their cameras out trying to record everything.

I see life in BETTER than HD quality and I store it in the memory bank. Memories have meaning to me. Especially as they change over the years. The memories change- for the better. And that's ok with me. ;-)
