I want a base trailer so i can add every fuel saving option to it. I need a light 53 footer. I've heard GD is the best, but heavy. I saw the Kevin Rutherford trailer, but I think i can beet it's efficiency using side skirts and tails instead of the under carriage.
So who makes the lightest trailer that potentially will be the most efficient when im done with it?
Who makes the lightest Dry van?

Richter Thanks this. -
Thanks, is there anything in between "junky" and "heavy". How junky are wabash. I've never pulled one.
-
You do know trailers are spec'ed right? Go sit down with a couple dealers and spec out the lightest trailer they can build.
-
Yea, well there are 30 different manufactures, I'd like to narrow that down before i sit down with dealers.

Strick trailers makes a trailer that is like 11,400lbs..here is the link. Now of course I have no idea how strong that thing really is but you did say...light!

Apparently I can't read lol. I need to check with my company...i think 100 will do it, but they might need 100.5. If it is indeed 100, that trailer is pretty light and a great find. Thanks.

The one thing I did not like about the trailer is you cannot block to the floor, though if I were going to order one, than add in some floor D rings at 6000lbs (16 pairs) plus some etracs.. and you are welcome.
