Henderson has issues recently and I cant recommend working for them. I know 3 lease guys who quit or are quitting asap. 1 company guy I know also quit.
The truck school is set up well but the company is not keeping drivers happy.
You can always just get your cdl thru them then go train at another company. All you have to do is pay back the $3600 school cost. Most 1st truck jobs will reimburse your school payments.
Who should I choose?

If Schneider does indeed have that cdl school in Gary, go that route and get that tanker job in your area.
Thull Thanks this. -
I hope they do that's the route I REALLY want to take. Once I saw they had no school that's when I decided to go with other companies that offered CDL training then get my 1 year in & leave. But if Schneider does offer it then that's definitely the route I'm taking. Just in case they don't offer it though, if I were to go with one of these other companies & got my CDL then did my 1 year of driving safely for them, do you think I should then apply for Schneider? Or do you think I can go to way better Tanker companies making more money with that 1 year experience? After all I do live in Louisiana & they are plenty Tankers here & work for them

Yeah there's alot more to this industry than CPM. There's detention pay, breakdown pay, Layover pay, stop pay. Then there's the question of what the company will pay for such as hotels, scales, parking, parts, tools, etc....
It goes on and on. My detention and stop pay is what makes my fairly standard cpm good. Performance bonus too, all dependent on miles for me.
Had a multi stop load going to KrogerDC and a meat packing place in Memphis. At kroger i got payed 50$ for the stop and 20$ an hr for 5hrs. That's 30$ an hr to take a nap in that case. I was making more sleeping than driving.
Point is definatly ask about that.Thull Thanks this. -
Schneider Bulk is good but there are others that pay better.
SVTN
Groendyke Transport
Superior Carriers
Tidewater Transit
Trimac Transportation
All these will probably hire you with one year experience.Thull Thanks this.
