Good for you ... I'm glad you love your job. I like mine too ... don't tell me mine sucks when the differences are marginal ... And I do have a great deal of say in where I run and when ... I don't earn my time off, I can work as little or as much as I chose ... within the limits of what the business permits me too.

I'm not doubting that ... What you seem to have an issue with is that a lease can be successful.

And since we are n "for the record" ... You implied that I train, I don't, I'm solo ... also, my truck is not a lease, it is a straight purchase. I already completed one lease and opted to purchase this truck - not the truck I was leasing.

Excuse me. You dont decide who's sn owner op. The title to this truck has my.name on it. When I decide to move on I don't clean out my truck, I clean some decals off of it.

Sorry I'm just now reading over these. I was on vacation visiting the family and didn't get a chance to get back on here. Thanks for all the replies. I'll be back after I read it all over and let him know what's been said. :) Thanks again!

Oh, and FYI, my husband has been a truck driver for 10 1/2 years now. He's just sick of working for someone else and wants his own truck. Financially, we can't get him one, so even though he's been against it for years, he's asking me to look into it for him, see if we can't find a semi-decent company to lease on so that we don't fail. He's an extremely hard worker. He's been a trainer, he's been a supervisor over a fleet of water trucks for the gas industry, he's currently hauling crude oil up in North Dakota. He just wants to provide for his family. More than likely he won't make the move to lease purchase, but we're looking into it as an option.

What's been said, is that he needs to know how to do his own due diligence against his business model ... if he can't or doesn't know how to do that, he's not ready to start a business.
