I bet when I'm retired at 50 with a couple million in the bank, you'll wish you hadn't had a car.....

People make their own choices. There's no reason for you to be looking down your nose at those of us who make a different choice than you do.

 

Yeah, I suppose I shouldn't let it get to me, but I get tired of it all. I choose not to pay for a home or a car, I choose not to get married and reproduce. And there are people who think I'm less of an adult because of those choices. Gets irritating. No, I'm not normal, I'm not living the "american dream." That doesn't make me less of an adult.

Rant over. I'll get on with the business of driving and hauling freight and socking away my paychecks for an early retirement.....

 

What's good getting home weekends if you can't go anywhere? Get out there and drive for a couple years and pay cash for a car. A bunch of drivers done that before.

He clearly states he'll be home on the weekend, I'd #### sure want a place to call HOME if I'm coming on the weekend, and I don't see the big issue about not having a car, again he clearly states he lives close to where he'll park, can't imagine a taxi will cost an arm and a leg to go a few miles. I bet if Tango offered to pay his rent, give him a brand new Pete, 2.00 dollars per mile, and home everyday before noon you'll still find something wrong with that, you just can't satisfy some people. As for the OP, enjoy your ride and your weekends home.

I wonder why a person can't make a statement without being called on it anymore??? Seems like no matter what anyone says here some super dumb**s has to come along and trump it, condemn it or just try to make it look like something it's not... Shame we can't just accept someone's choices.

Good to know there are so many perfect people out here with nothing better to do..Glad I'm not one of them.
