1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

any friends or relatives in georgia on the boarder? when you came home you could find a place to secure the truck and commute. I'll check around and see what I can find hiring out of florida.
when I searched it came up swift transport co inc (fl), scheider, prime inc, maverick, crst van expidited and cr england. All hire from Florida. Try them out and let me know how it goes.

Have you tried looking in the classified section of the local Florida newspapers? The employflorida website has a few listings. I think it's pretty competitive out there right now. I'm in Lake Placid, so we're almost on the same lateral line. That said, Werner, Stevens, CRST, CFI, CTL and Willis Shaw recruit from my area, so they probably recruit from Okeechobee as well. I've talked to others that do but want experience. I think the home area limitation changes on a daily basis, but at the time I talked to them, PGT, SRT, Transam, and a couple of others hired this far south. (If my 30+ day old notes are accurate)
