They are way over priced. IE: 6.5 KW diesel gen set= 1400 12000btu heat pump 500 diesel air and a diesel hydronic heater 1800. install self 1 day. $3700. gen set is carb compliant and remote electric start. least expensive commercial system is $7500 and not carb compliant, compliant likely $10K minimum. IT IS A NO BRAINER.

Everything is flying along. Corp registration returned. Set up random drug and pre-employment test for tomorrow. Went and got new DOT physical.

Then the insurance. . . . it's done and for 2k less than I thought. Almost didn't get approved. When filling out the MC150 I checked off every kind of freight I might haul.

DON"T DO THAT! ! !

I had marked coal and waste . . . . me very bad. . . instant decline for class of hauling. Went to the FMCSA and modified MC150, downloaded and emailed to underwriter and offered to pay more down or in full if necessary.. reason $2000+ less than my other quotes. Would have hurt reserves but would have had zero monthlies.

End of story . . . insurance binder in my hands, policy a little over $8K national coverage with PIP coverages & loss of income from accident injury. Falling off the truck counts here in PA.

OK I said no drama elsewhere. . . ok a little .

Just got an email on a great broker lead, it is a small one connected to a business that is partially owned by family. Might be getting lucky . Sending the info now with return details tomorrow.
