I think I'm gonna start looking into Landstar soon as well. Also might go check out another local excavation company that was hiring drivers. Would like to get some experience hauling some larger equipment with a lowboy.
Who's all leaving the choice program?

That's what I would do if I leave SNI. I would do flatbed work. There is no way I would leave SNI and go to another dry van company.EggoTrucker Thanks this. -
Lowboys and equipment hauling is fun. Only thing I don't miss about hauling oversize are all the "curfew" laws.
-
Curfew laws, TX routing, dragging chain that is heavier than me, being covered with grease almost daily, Baker grade at 7 mph for 1 1/2 hours in the summer, waiting for permits, 1.3 mpg, I could go on and on.
Nope, don't miss it! Stuff makes you old quick. Have fun with it while you can. Good heavy haul drivers are hard to find.Phi4life, oragonads, mountaingote and 1 other person Thank this. -
They're lost in that 2 bedroom condo behind the cab lol.
-
Don't know anything about that, all my heavy haul trucks were day cabs and coffin boxes.
This was my last load and truck. 2015 western star.
