I disagree. You cant over take someone else's lane of travel. You have to merge when it is safe to change lanes. This is a classic improper lane change ticket. The one ton merged on to the roadway, changed lanes into another vehicle's lane of travel resulting in an accident.

98% for truck, and 2% the semi.
If the semi was at max weight that shifts to 100% truck and 0% semi. (because it takes longer to stop)

The truck simply cannot pull out into a lane and expect everyone to get out of his way while he tries to get up to speed.

P.S. there was a car next to the semi when the truck pulled out. Where was the semi going to go? It's unlikely he had room to stop.

The car carrier was illegally parked on the Interstate and then made a reckless move when he pulled back on the Interstate. The road surface was wet and the semi never had a chance. It is my hope and prayer that the driver of the semi and his company take the car carrier's insurance company for a ride.

With the camera the car carrier. If there was no camera is when it gets tricky.

Exactly. It’s a merge, same as if there’s a Yield sign, you proceed when it’s safe todo so. It wouldn’t matter if there was 10 lanes of traffic, if they were all occupied you have to stop and wait. In this instance he semi could have moved over but that’s not his responsibility.

this is (to me) no different than a U-Haul parked on the side and then just "jot out" into the traffic.

    car carrier failed, 1000%.

    Car hauler 100%.

It's so easy even a caveman can get a cdl.

This is becoming more of a trend that I hope the state boys crack down on.

Stooges just pull right into traffic off the shoulder.
