Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Let me tell you KH I have lived in Florida for all my life and we moved to Texas for a year and half my wife got home sick so we came back here and after 1 month of being back she said what a mistake so I cant wait for my house lease is up so we can move back to Texas. I have been here for almost a year and cant find any driving jobs out of this crap state. I guess what I'm saying is give up now or get out of Florida!!!I look here and there but I gave up.

Sbatson, I think I talked to you on the other site, "millersod215", by the way the forum here is much better, glad I found it. Guess nothing ever came of my info on Pritchett, sorry, and of course as both of us know, CEI will never have an opening until one of their old ### drivers croaks or retires. Fort Walton is a bad area so I can't blame you for wanting to move back, but it sure is a nice place to be, the beaches are killer. As for kinghunter, I know I'll get blackballed for this, but give LCT a legitimate look, others will say they suck, but in reality they're not going to be much different than swift or any of your other options. I know some people over there, and they're friendly down to earth people, not the feel of a huge mega carrier, they've had their financial woes, but they're still hanging in there, and they're Florida based which is good for Florida drivers, they have a lot of Florida freight and you will see home much more than you will with other companies. Speak with Amy Barco when you call, she was the head of recruiting, and she's a straight shooter, good luck with wherever you end up, and keep your head up.

Yes we have talked and I agree this is a much better forum. Hey dont get me wrong if I could get a job here that I could in Texas I would never consider leaving, its great just as I get older the things thats more important start coming into play now so i just look towards whats best for the family now.
