I turn HT off when playing games but yes, it can run 5.2Ghz with HT on. (1.475v HT Off / 1.5v HT On).

Because there is no Mac on earth that will come remotely close to the performance these high end water cooled pcs. Because I can build a fully water cooled system with at least dual graphics cards and still pay less than a Mac while out performing that same Mac. Macs are such a rip off. They've pulled the ultimate con job on people.

Yankee trucker. Very nice! Getting lots of flow rate outta that MCP655 pump you got there. Is that a swiftech block? I use a swiftech apogee hd. Hard to see in the shadow but yours looks like an apogee.

NICE! Fellow closet OC'ing geeks. Since we've now fully drifted this thread into hardware land...

    - Antec case (5 fans laminar aircooled. Was using water on last build but went back to high-end air on this one because I got tired of maintaining it. Have to keep the room cooled in summer though now, lol.)
    - Intel i7 920 OC'd to 4.10 Ghz with HT on at 1.34 volts / Noctua push-pull fan
    - 12 Gb OCZ platinum memory at 1830 Mhz in triple-channel (8,8,8,24 timings / 1.65 v)
    - EVGA X58 3-way SLI MB
    - ATI 5970 X2 crossfired and OC'd to 965/1125 (Asus Brand)
    - Corsair 1200 PSU

Plays anything V-sync'd at 60 FPS with all settings on highest at 1920X1080 except games that are heavily dependent on PhysX (like Cryostasis) because they are ATI cards. I unlock the V-sync only to benchmark, but I found that forcing everything to 60 fps provided more consistent play.

Did a HD screen record of the first 3 minutes of the MW3 New York City level for testing to see how it would look on YouTube if you choose the 1080p setting [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVH6YMtRqUs"]at this link.[/ame]

Impractical system for in a truck unless someone had a lot of room for the full-tower case and a big inverter, but awful fun for FPS gaming. Also it is dated by current standards because I built this one 2 years ago, but not ready to redo it until something comes out that I want to play and it won't play it with all of the eye-candy on.

Nice noctua d14. It's good to see other enthusiasts round here. I am full blown geek. I even use nothing but mechanical keyboards lol. Cherry mx switches FTW.

Whats first step to building a rig like you guys have? Start from scratch, buy somebody else half built or buy a brand new something or other and then hot rod it?
