In contrast, previous years were only like one or two trailers stolen.
A lot of these fools just drop them anywhere when they go home.
And what they charge to rent those things you can get in the hole quick sitting around while that rental fee adds on to your settlement every week. And they don't l/p them.
Who's stealing all the flatbeds??!!

I was thinking of Mercer when I made the L/P statement.
But I could've swore a CRST driver said he was L/Ping an outfit....? Must have just meant the truck. Either way I could care less!
Personally I think its funny! All those years of screwing drivers and now they are on the other end.Mommas_money_maker and Displaced Yooper Thank this. -
On another forum a posted pic's of a goose neck trl of his, some one had backed in under the neck then CUT IT OFF !!

Where I live any scrap yard paying over a certain amount, I think 500.00 or more requires a valid state I.D. OR D.L. so you can be tracked, or at least the I.D. can be tracked.

Sure, but we're not talking about copper here, which is the biggie. You bring in a cut up trailer, who's going to say anything, heck they probably won't even realize it's a trailer. Plus around here, ads are all over craigslist "we buy old semi trailers" and they recycle them. It's pretty common.

Here, it does matter what the material. any dollar amount over a min requires a valid picture state i.d.

I have a customer that still has 4 of arrow trucking's trailers been parked back there before they went under they also have two lone star trailers that have been there for over two years I pulled one of melton's trailers a few times they load them and the truck would never show up to get the load

Since thats the scrap value, the reward seems a bit "thin".

They had a lot in Birmingham years ago. I used go there sometimes to fix flats. Them was the days when 40 foot was it.
