Yep superior became McGill which became Tri-State/ Trism

Eagle became E.F.B. which then closed down, but said owner had PST flatbeds, Linden, ut..
Which also became Tri-state/ Trism.Which has been closed for 11 years now. Well the Trism side..

not quite mcgil was home transport before they were mcgil. i think home absorbed superior, because i was with home (as was my father in law) before they became mcgil , until i left in 1990

mcgil was a comgo of mcmanus and gilliam , two knuckleheads who took over after the original owner died, one or both was a son-in-law

    Yep, you are correct.
I think when Homes and Superior merged it was call Homes/ Superior.
And it was a son in law.from my undersyanding.
Rumor was the Widow of the Owner was the main owner and let her son in law run things, Then the down fall for selling it to Tri- State was he got caught with his pants around his ankles so to speak. She got upset and just sold it out. And he was kicked to the curb. Is the correct?

when i was leased to ATS , circa 1991, they had just started doing business in Mexico. haul to laredo , mexican trucks took our trailers over. first the trailers came back missing mudflaps, then lights and mudflaps, the singled up tires, then , hell the trailers just quit coming back all together. lost a dozen or so that first year if i recall right. johnny

...so if you aren't supposed to approach the trailer, how are you supposed to verify the last 8 of the VIN in order to positively ID the trailer you are seeing before you call it in? :biggrin_2556:

I forgot over the weekend about my KingPin lock, backed into it, then picked it up off the asphalt and threw the pieces in the trash. Don't think I'll put any money out for another. Found a better spot to park now.
