Negative. None of this is correct. The First, Fourth, and Fourteenth Amendments allow you to record anything you want, especially the police.
And the Department of Justice has weighed in on this, and they are siding with the citizens.
Who's using dash cams and what kind?

I think what would be an ideal solution would be a 1080p cam that uploaded the video every set period to the cloud (say, Google Drive or Dropbox, or via VPN to a home storage box), or at the touch of a button. That way, even if a cop spotted the cam and confiscated it, the video would be uploaded to a safe place, and you don't get stuck with a lying pig whose roid rage just sent him over the edge with you.
gpsman and Skydivedavec Thank this. -
What bothers me about the police issue is they have a dash cam in thier cars recording them and us!

Just downloaded the app...its great. Messing around with it in the house as truck in shop with the car dock. Hoping this works as well once in the truck.
This in response to post 13, djtrype post.

I'd rather get a cam that can send the vids to the cloud or a remote storage server, just in case some whacked-out cop decides to pitch a fit over it and confiscate it.Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
