Same with not having valid insurance. If you have no valid license, you shouldn't be on the road. If he has a blow out or anything else happening that might cause him to take out some one else (or a family), that wouldn't have happened had he not been on the road due to no license.

I do agree with the going on with your life (to the OP). Be thankful that nothing happened and move ahead.
