The one coming from the ramp. The driver on the shoulder was already stopped before the accident happened.

OK I watched the video again, only fault I see is the car driver. He hit the railing just as he passed the driver just coming off the ramp.Had it been me I would have looked over at the ramp and slow down a touch as I'm driving passed it.

The T/T driver couldn't stop in time, obviously. The Dump rig, however hadn't caused the accident, still should have stopped. Your first post confused me thus....LoL.

In that instance the trk driver or any driver should slow down to almost a stop when coming off a ramp like that where 2 vehicles merge at once.

Video clearly shows fault speeding trucker speed limit is 30 mph and he overtook the car too fast who did stop wrongly but if you know bc dump truck drivers you would slow quickly too.. if your exiting and need to slow for a sharp curve why do it at a high speed and mess with trucks who are trying to get up to speed to pull a grade right after exit

The lack of intelligence on the part of a 4 wheeler has always amazed me. Stopping where there is no stop sign. What next?

The truck driver is at fault, he seen "a situation" and kept the hammer down.
A good driver sees a situation and acts wisely to avoid it.

I got that situation thing from the Clorox bleach commercial.
I'll get on the cb and say "back it down, back it down, we have a situation here"
But then I just grabbed Turkey Sandwich as my handle, they call me Turkey Sandwich, but not for the reason you'd think. It's stupid but fun

Agreed, I already knew what was about to happen when I saw that dump truck. And personaly, when I see something like this I dont go straight to the horn. Plus, you know the mentality of these 4 wheelers, why not even slow down a bit.

"bieng nice" is often the opposite of how the laws "rules of the road" are laid out. People with the right of way decide to yield too often and just makes a mess of the system. A simple merge becomes a giant cluster.

That car could have been well away from the situation and down the road if they kept on going. Nope, let's slow down and screw the dump truck and whoever is behind, and whoever is behind them.

The trucker that read endend them is at fault for not bieng able to stop in time. There could be many other reasons to need to stop.

That car driver should just stay home.

Both of them should be required to pay for lessons on how to drive.
