For all the political agenda people out there.
Remember. CSA 2010 was passed and started in 2005 as part of the last highway bill.
So if you want to point fingers you need to remember. It is the Bush administration and his FMCSA administrator that pushed for this rule.

So start your whining about the evil Republicans now please.
I am a Libertarian, not from either side. I vote how I feel best, not on any party lines.
But I hate seeing good mud slinging being thrown the wrong way.
Anyway, I will but out now and you can go back to your rants.

You just proved my point about the so called large car driver or as you put a "outlaw". Your first line tells everyone that you have no clue what your talking about, you have never met me or know who I am and you say that I'm a "one eyed fat man". Since you made up this lie then what else are your talking about that you don't have a clue about?

Yes, your right we all have the right to vote or not, up to you. But as I said your part of the problem.

If I'm in the left lane passing a slower vehicle and I'm doing the speed limit I am not breaking any laws like you said, but you on the other hand you are speeding and more then likely tailgating, only stupid drivers tailgate, are breaking the law. You belong to the "me generation" believing that the world rotates around you. Sorry it don't. I could care less if your in a hurry because I plan my trip to run legal. Sorry.

I said that I have been driving like a pro for 20 years but I have been driving since 1978. For those 11 years I drove like you, trying to impress my boss or fellow drivers with how stupid I can drive. Getting tickets and paying for them out of my own pockets, what a waste of money but made the company a bunch of money. Running over loaded and by-passing scales, running maybe 10 to 50 miles out of route and only getting paid by the House Hold Movers guide, which means I done this for nothing. Destroying my health and my sanity making the company more money while running 20 hour days.

You don't have to vote because this is a free country and for the same reason I don't have to move into the right lane until I pass the other vehicle. As I know from experience, from LA to NY you large cars usually pass my slow truck two or three times. When you come our of your rookie stage, you will find that its not how fast you go but how much money you make. And yes, I will smile and wave as you go by and think God I out grew out of that rookie stage. Have a safe trip and make sure you wave every time you pass.

I vote. I will vote and I have read and understand the Constitution. When a Government cannot balance a checkbook it is best to stop trusting them with spending. But this "My vote doesn't count" self righteous attitude that most truckers have? It is a cop out! That is like punishing a misbehaving child by ignoring it. We get the Government that we will put up with. If we don't have enough guts to stand up to them then at least be honest and admit most drivers are cowards. Don't give me this "I don't vote" crap! A drivers silence is the biggest green light for the DOT to continue on. We vote, either by submission or omission but our silence speaks volumes.

I have been complemented by many truckers on how I treat others on the road, and they comment on how rare it is these days. But I have been driving for 30+ years. These "2 year veterans of the Road" are still rookies to me and they need to leave their 4 wheeler attitude outside the door when they enter trucking.

Like both parties are not backed by the same corporations.

If they want safe drivers, find a way to keep the experienced ones behind wheel. And yes, the experienced ones might be a little chubby!

Just more proof that they don't have a clue therefore drivers really won't have a clue as to how it is gonna work!

I hope everyone realizes that the "notice of claim" is government talk which means "YOU OWE UNCLE SAM MONY!". It is my understanding that the issuing notices of claim are NOT limited to just the motor carrier, drivers are subject to them as well!
PLEASE, IF I AM WRONG, CORRECT ME AND GIVE ME A LINK OR QUOTE THE SOURCE TO PROVE ME WRONG!

I think you are correct Dave: http://csa2010.fmcsa.dot.gov/Documents/CSA2010_DriverFactsheet.pdf

    From the above:

    Q.
Can you describe the CSA 2010 driver safety enforcement

    process?
    A.

The driver safety enforcement process provides FMCSA with

the tools to identify CMV drivers with safety performance
problems and to verify and address the issues. The new tools
enable Safety Investigators (SIs) to identify drivers with poor
safety histories who work for carriers that have been identified
as requiring a CSA 2010 investigation. If the investigation
results verify the driver violation(s), FMCSA takes an
enforcement action against that driver, such as a Notice of

Violation (NOV) or a Notice of Claim (NOC).

CSA 2010 will cripple unfit truckers and unfit trucking companies.

One could only wish that it would apply to ALL motor vehicles.

I get tired of occupying roadways with drivers that obviously haven't seen the backside of their cars and pickups in awhile! Otherwise they might notice that they have several lights out or no brake lights!

I'm not losing sleep over CSA 2010 because I'm doing what I'm SUPPOSED TO BE DOING!
It's nothing more than a new tool designed to spotlight drivers and carriers with a PATTERN of unsafe behavior.
So one inspection isn't gonna ruin your driving career.
Constantly being put O.O.S. for logbook violations might.

Keep in mind that scores are generated every month. New violations have a greater impact than older ones. And violations older than 36 months fall off the scoreboard.

I think that legal O/Os will see rates increase as this goes into effect, for awhile.
I don't think company drivers will see a pay increase w/o job shopping.

All driver are not valued equally, though drivers are valued. Someone needs to move their ####! lol
