Why a strike won't work for YOU

no ,a strike will never work,but here is maybe a novel approach-how about EVERYONE running 100% legal for THREE DAYS-by this i mean totally legal-all wait time is marked from when u start your shift-all the sitting in traffic for 4or5 hours marked,would not get a whole lot of long haul driving done!

 

Novel idea !! wonder where you got this idea ?

 

Everyone wouldnt have to strike for example
How would anyone drive if all the fuel haulers stoped?

How about all the refeers stop taking food?
Dry boxs stoped taking meds?

those 3 things would be more then enough hell the first one would do a good job

 

Again !
You "DO NOT HAVE TO STOP" to have an impact.
Total shut-down is a no win for all envolved,we must roll to make money.

 

Strike will never work because there is always someone that will take your place .

 

I still think all we need is fuel trucks, food trucks,and medical trucks
that would be enough hell the fuel trucks would stop everything no fuel no trucks,

And in today's economy, with three or four drivers for every seat, get fired while someone else takes your truck, your load, your paycheck, and your way of supporting your family. Face it, troops. Strike is no option as long as the cdl mills keep churning out new drivers every week.

 

Yeah well thats 1 theory however striking will do 1 thing and that will be people will appreciate just how important drivers are to the countries economy then you will get some well deserved rewards unfortunatly because of the current reccession and demand is not as great a strike may not be the most sencible thing to do right now but hey when things get back to normal a national drivers strike will definately get you noticed.

 

WOW... all of you guys are believing the crap that Rush, Beck, and Fox News through at you???

If you are not going to fight for better wages...who will???
the owners???
the HR departments???
the dispatchers???
the SHAREHOLDERS???

you guys that say a strike won't work sound exactly like what the top 10% of American wage earners want you to believe....

back when America built the Interstate transit system...you know the 50's/60's the rich were paying the SAME tax percentage as the middle/lower class...and Amica had over 30% membership in UNIONS....FORD, GM, Railroads, all of these companies that were providing GOOD jobs to baby boomers and their parents were UNION...ever wonder why your grandparents have their house paid off (if you are in your 20's or 30's) and you can't even think about a big down payment...

becase wages increases have not paralleled cost of living increases since the 1970's...(thank you Ronald Regan for making the rich richer and scaling back all the upper class taxes so that we have crappy infrastructure, crappy scools, crappy libraries, crappy amount of FEC regulaors that would have enforced the laws that brought down the housing market 4 years ago....

So getting back to the Interstate thing...when your diriving on the interstates next time...think..wow...how did they build all these back then ...and now we can't even re-pave or maintain them now...the answers...low taxes on the rich....

AS THE RICH GET RICHER WE ARE STILL SITTING ON OUR ##### DEBATING WETHER OR NOT A STRICK WOULD HELP....WETHER WE WOULD GET BETTER WAGES OR NOT...

All you folks need to stop supporting the rich and support your fellow brother American...not the top 5% of the Amican that now control over 80% of the countries wealth...that's not a way to create a country...letting 5% of the population create an oligarcy!!!
