Go read the prime thread... There's a guy who started driving 6 months ago for them who does nothing but cry, his answer now to fix his problems with them is he's leasing a truck from them...:binky:

I would rather not say the exact company. But it is a local paint retailor. I deliver paint to stores, businesses, construction sites, and houses. Mostly liftgate and palette jack delivories, some 2 wheel dolly, some docks. If you really want to know the company pm me.

Sysco is a good company, but you may have to start in the werehouse if you don't have your cdl yet.

Yep, but that's probably more a result of the shaggin' and a drinkin' and the drinkin' and a shaggin', than my employment situation.

Is this about guys asking how to get local jobs without going OTR first? If that is the case we have beaten that horse to death already. It IS possible, not in every town for every driver.

not everyone wants nor lives in a major metropolitan area dealing with bumper to bumper yahoo's day in day out, night in night out trying to meet the quota.

and not all pay the rate per, some seem to lead other's to believe. you think otr is easier and for fools? come out and give it go, lets see how long you last.

Local doesn't always mean big city. I know a lot of guys who run local out in the country, away from big cities. Mostly loggers, lowbeds, chip wagons and the odd flatdeck.

Dye Guardian and ajohnson Thank this.

Most jobs I see range from $45-$60k a year. Cost of living is generally a bit lower outside of the bigger centers too.
