Do you not believe that's possible? I'm sure it's largely based on location, but that's what everyone in my shop is making to. And they're all moaning about it. Lol. Some guys are never happy.

But yes, it's possible. Maybe that's why most drivers have been here for 20+ years. I dunno.

Sure, but what everyone is saying is 1) it's possible and 2) it depends largely on location. I don't think anyone really disagrees with you.

Though I will say, where I work, a driver hired tomorrow will be making the same as the 30 year employees in under a year. But to help prove your point, the last driver we hired was me- about 5 years ago. Timing and location is a very significant factor in getting those jobs. We agree more than we disagree

I was born in 86, so I'm part of the modern generation that baby boomers look down upon.

And you don't know my story, so you don't have to be so condescending. There were a lot more factors contributing to my issues, and now I'm working a regional position with the same company and look forward to going into work everyday.

There are very few millennials that I've come across that have a proper work ethic. I'm glad you do have one. You should encourage more of your generation to work harder and not complain so much.

I happen to be a millennial as well and I hate to say it but the majority of our generation is useless. In my experience, maybe 20-30% of the guys my age actually still believe in putting an honest days work in for a paycheck. The rest seem to be more interested in their phones than actually getting anything done.

Love the younger generation rant. I have seen the 50 something wearing sweats, crack showing, and struggling to walk to the pilot entryway. Wondering if this guy is one of those that speak how great trucking was back in the day.. Now one the other end I seem the young 20 something back from Afghanistan. Squared away wearing jeans and a western shirt but being looked down as a newbie cause he takes a few too many pull-ups. Respect that youngin he will have no social security nor Medicaid when he is older. He will work till he dies while many today decide to hang it up at their 60's.

That 20 or so percent are some awesome folks to work with though.

There are cry baby lossers in every generation, In the new generation it's really easy to see though. There is a huge contrast in the current generation..... they either have the poop or they dont, I don't see a lot of inbetween. Hey I just made a new word...

Watch a guy on yt called chasing andrew jackson. 23 years old drives for knight and he's been with them 9 months now. He saves most of his money and is trying to buy a truck and go owner op. He already started his llc and has 10k saved. Wether it's a risky move or not due to him being a newbie jumping into to the owner op you gotta love his ambition and drive. Not all millennials are lazy and he is proof.
