It’s 33% urea the rest is just water. Probably distilled so it doesn’t clog up your dpf.

It's also a viable option if you need DEF and the bulk pumps freeze. I know they're susceptible to that, I've seen it happen. DEF before dishonor, man

I know a lot of folks are saying that DEF freezes at the pumps, but it’s really not that serious anymore. Those problems were much more common when DEF was new in trucking. It’s 2019 now, and many truck stops now have insulation on their DEF pumps, especially the big chains. I have never carried DEF in my truck nor have I ever run out of that stuff. I’ve been trucking since 02/2013.
