    Ever go through bankruptcy?

The loan is a lean on the truck, truck goes away to pay the loan.

Because when you use a credit card, the sale is subject to the terms and conditions of the credit card, not the dealership selling you the vehicle. Purchases can be reversed using a card, and any dealership with half a brain doesn't want that. They want payment in the form of a cashier's check or ACH direct deposit.

OP, go work as a company driver.
You will get some junk of a truck for $20k and end up leasing to some stupid outfit.
Eventually that truck will go to a shop for a bigger repair and you will be in the same situation you are now, but with a messed up credit.
Obviously, after driving for 4 years you still don't know anything about how this business works. Working as a company driver will allow you to save some money, you will learn a lot reading this forum for the next year and in the spring, assuming our economy is not messed up, you can try going o/o again

No they will take the truck, no deals.

The days of dealing are over, you offer no track record to allow them any latitude to make deals.

Oh just got add, normally the success rate for an o/o is around 15%, right now many of us consider it 4%.

A lot of you apparently haven't done credit reversals in years.

Banks don't have your backs. Not anymore.

And with merchants having signed papers.

    Your stuck with the charge.

I got screwed $600 for glasses I never received. $300 for software. And now I'm out $300 for a basketball game that will never happen.

Anyone allowing you to purhcase a car or big truck by credit card is running the very real risk that the purchase will be denied by the credit card processor for various reasons. If that happens the seller is minus one vehicle. My brother used to work for a credit card processor. They had a fair number of merchants. One or two were small car lots that began taking credit cards for repairs of cars. Eventually the small car lot would attempt to accept a credit card for purchase of a vehicle only to find out about 2 weeks later that they were never going to receive money to their account because that attempted purchase was beyond the scope of their agreement with the credit card processor or the purchase appeared exactly like profile of fraud according to the credit card processor's algorithm. The merchant is risking finding out they just gave away a vehicle. Also, the fees the merchant will have to pay on a multi-thousand dollar credit card purchase will be sizeable, in the multi-hundreds or even thousands of dollars. For example, some processors charge somethign like 3% of the purchase plus a fixed cost per transaction which could be less than a dollar.

Was wandering around a motorcycle dealer one day.
Wanted some parts for another bike. Back in the corner was a non-current model. Had been interested in the bike. Just had a few others, so it was not a priority. It was a bit dusty, price marked way down. Asked what was the absolute best price. The deal was struck, handed them my credit card, a little bit later, in the back of the truck it went.

I’m always carrying with up to one thousand in my pocket. Yeah, I know I can get assaulted. It’s amazing how making good money changes you.

I remember when I was like 13 years old and my Nintendo 64 was stolen from the Greyhound with like 9 games. It traumatized me for years. Hahaha.
