Why can't you secure your load?

    I always use chains on steel unless it is shiny bar or something that you can't put chains on.

    Yep, it just makes good sense. Now, I've done straps on some barstock, but coils... you just don't want to piss around, there.. Too much weight in a compact form. Unforgiving.

    Sounds like this driver really knows 393.100 through 136 as if there were no such rules.

    use all chains, then straps...trip chain if needed....if I could put chains on it- thats what it got....and more the better...within reason.....jmo

    My bad! I had just read the DOT rating of 4000 on 4" straps, then read today that Maverick straps are 8000. Sorry!
