Really? Let's see.... my 2013 FL Columbia glider, 12.7 Series 60 DDEC IV, 500+ hp, ECM tweaked, 18 speed....... last 3 fill ups.... 7.8 mpg, 7.7 mpg, 7.9 mpg. And we are not into the summer and traditionally higher fuel economy. I see several 8+ mpg fill ups in my future this summer. The truck is light enough that, if I had to, I could haul over 2000 lb more than my carrier's Cascadia company trucks. Yet it is quieter with it's arctic insulation package and premium noise abatement package. Signature wood grain interior with more gauges than the space shuttle (well.. almost), more cabinets than my wife's kitchen (again.... almost), and real doors on them and not some cheesy net stuff, and a built in fridge. More storage than I can foreseeably use inside and out. Premium AM/FM/WB stereo with AUX and USB inputs and CD (don't use satellite anymore with the free app radio and internet stuff on my iPhone I can play thru the dash radio). I'll keep it for a long, long time.

You are correct you can haul more weight then a cascadia. And that truck prevents you from dealing with ports and California. Well at least Couple more years till your forced to add the emission crap on it. and nice looking tractor

Oh my god someone has a dream of driving a casajunk...what has happend trucking has be ruined by ugly trucks that didnt miss on branch on the ugly tree....to hit on a few key points about trucks fleet verus O/o speced....I buy fleet trucks to build why....you cant spec a o/o truck with wood floors wood shelfs dorm fridge frezzer and all the other stuff I like in my rigs. Why spend the extra cash on an speced truck when you can find fleet trucks with a guage package build the way you want.....someone is going to say to have the power right....well guys and gals a 12.7 that i like or if you want that casajunk 14L is the same motor sure it might be 450 hp fleet truck a simple trip to the shop and its a 550 hp same with every truck motor made you can get the model motor you want and turn it up. tranny never heard in all my years a big boy tranny...your most common tranny is a 10 speed followed by a 13 than 9 and 18....personal i dont like 18 speeds buy love a 13. same thing with the rear ends fleet or speced they are the same motors same trannies and same rears just look for what you want.....BUT I LOVE MY 1996 FREIGHTLINER CLASSIC 12.7 DETROIT 550HP....Id put her up against any motor any day

After driving quite a few 1,000,000+ mile Volvo daycabs I'd take the ride in my old Cascadia any day.

What engine from per EGR , are you referring to? My first truck I personally owned , I bought as a basket case . Put it back together as a VTT 903 675. Still turned better then 5 mpg. In a 77 model cab over. Talk about fun!
