How's the old man? Still kicking around?
Darn'it, we could be sitting around enjoying some good food and a couple of drinks and talk about the good old days instead of fighting like a bunch of hyenas over stupid shait.
Here we are making arses of our selves instead of leaving that to the rookies.
I don't know if you remember me. ....Big Chris. I had a 78 pit but I retired it, oh, some 12 years ago. I ain't seen you and you other half in probably just as long if not longer.
Why CSA 2010 and E-Logs are a good thing.

He retired two years ago. We took off the drom and retired the van. I run a flat, solo now, mostly east of I-35. 12 years, been awhile, I got fat and crankier!
-
Oh shait! I had my runts about these electronic stuff!I'm still opposing the darn things and I'll always do and I'll probably never understand why in the world anybody would like them.
But, darn'it, let's quit this nonsense fighting! -
Sounds like an idea to me.
-
C'mon girl! You're a funn person, nice people you and the old man!
Crankier, I can see! I was wondering what happened to you, now that I know who you are. I know you as a happy gal.....with a good sense of humor.
You and me been fighting on here like crazy........see what this computer thing does to good old folk!
it's so darn impersonal and you could be darn cruel to a good friend and don't even know it. -
Man, it's getting lonely out here! All the good old boys are reiering one by one, and we're stuck with millions of rookies that don't know what they're doing.
Big Joe that was running them El Paso flatbed loads regularly back in the 80's, I ran into him some 3 years ago in San Antonio, retired. Old Sarge, he retired home Baton Rouge if I'm not mistaken. Sirjane I think is getting ready to call the quits, oh, and a bunch of other good old boys are gone.
Sux getting old! -
WOW...A TRUCE!!!
...Classic...and right before my beady lil eyes...LMAO...
...well if that don't beat seeing the light of day, huh?...
Happy 4th, y'all...have a good night... -
Agreed. Stick to what you know. If you have a hard time with computers, DDL will frustrate you more than 'em paper logs. Many days, I've wanted to kill the printer. It's just not made for the shaking and rattling in a truck. And when you run out of ink and forgot to buy some beforehand, would get the coolest cat all up tight. I am used to the computer thing now, so I would not go back. Besides my whole office run on my laptop.
But are FMCSA not pushing for even more expensive, electronic logging, complete with cameras and GPS logs and ECM hookups? I thought I read such a rumour on OOIDA and they want to try and stop that. -
I also agree with the idea of kipping things simpler.
-
i didn't like DDL. it was tough to learn. and i don't like how clunky it looks. just like a regular log.
i use trucklogger. much simpler and more clean looking.
