You can do a reset in the truck on QCOM, the office can pull up your logs at any time and can even have you approve them in the case of catastrophic computer failure. We tried several different scenario's when we started them.

    Pnet I have no idea.

With QC...the e-log function is driver ID based, not truck specific (like pre-pass)...as long as the truck the driver goes into is equipped with a company EOBR with e-log, by logging in with driver ID, the history (prior days records) stays current with the driver.

However, a driver getting into a rental/loaner that is not equipped with the company system, then paper records would need to be forwarded (fax) to the driver and the driver would need to use paper logs for the duration of the rental/loaner vehicle.

Providers. Kinda like Dish Network or Directv. Same basics just formatted slightly differently.

follows the driver by their log on /password. So as long as the fleet has them a driver could theoretically switch trucks daily and not have an issue. unit is addressed to the truck so that portion is auto populated. Would just need to input a given trailer for that day or load.
