One thing I used to do back when I was running OTR.

I would be coming up to a big city such as Chicago or Minneapolis etc and note that I would be hitting right at rush hours. LOL. Find a nice quiet place to stop for a few hours, have something to eat, take a nap and wake up jump in the seat and drive straight though and still make my delivery time and not get that feeling that I want to shoot someone in the process.

Bifocals, just gave up on the reading glasses and went with the all in one setup. Just remember to save some for your significant other when you get home. They get kinda crabby when you don't save some for them.

The way I see it is that Elogs take away from the driver being able to plan the day he or she wants. On paper I can leave early drive the way I want make my load time and drive the way I want back to my drop point and still be within the regs on paper. I am not beat at the end of my day because I was pushed by some stupid box and did not want some stupid box telling me that I had to stop 15-30 earlier then I wanted to.

It is not like we are running paper logs so that we can do 1400 miles in one day. I still want to sleep every night for 6-8 hours, I still want to shower each and every day, still want to take a dump every day. Still like to meet with a couple freinds and have a cup of coffee.

My office personnel sure can..They could drive through raging snowstorms in the Rockies and can also whittle a 2000mi run to just 15 hrs..I know they can do this cause they tell me so..:biggrin_255:

If nothin else those "Blue Pills" really do work..Even the one's ordered online from India at a fraction of the cost.Or so a friend of mine told me.:biggrin_25525:
