One thing I used to do back when I was running OTR.
I would be coming up to a big city such as Chicago or Minneapolis etc and note that I would be hitting right at rush hours. LOL. Find a nice quiet place to stop for a few hours, have something to eat, take a nap and wake up jump in the seat and drive straight though and still make my delivery time and not get that feeling that I want to shoot someone in the process.
Why CSA 2010 and E-Logs are a good thing.

The way I see it is that Elogs take away from the driver being able to plan the day he or she wants. On paper I can leave early drive the way I want make my load time and drive the way I want back to my drop point and still be within the regs on paper. I am not beat at the end of my day because I was pushed by some stupid box and did not want some stupid box telling me that I had to stop 15-30 earlier then I wanted to.
It is not like we are running paper logs so that we can do 1400 miles in one day. I still want to sleep every night for 6-8 hours, I still want to shower each and every day, still want to take a dump every day. Still like to meet with a couple freinds and have a cup of coffee.volvodriver01 Thanks this. -
