Why CSA 2010 and E-Logs are a good thing.

    yes, your company can edit your logs, this will not be a good thing when the DOT comes in to audit your logs. Makes it kind of hard to say that you didn't knowingly and willfully ask your driver to violate the hours of service.

    i have no problem with e logs let me split them up as i want what difference does it make.i cant work more than 14 hrs without 10 off no problem im old and wise enough to get to my stop and still only work 14 hrs.big companys want it cuz the sorry people they hire cant get there on time unless forced.i sleep when tired something you cant do and im not talking bout split i dont sleep 2 hrs or 8 just till i need.yes i was put out of service once in 34 years lazy just didnt do book not currant i work for my self been through audit fine been thru many on road except one all good.so get off your high horse if you need to be pushed to del on time so be it ........i dont

    Not really . The pretrip start and stop times weren't exactly recorded so there was an error . I had my load cancelled and nothing else assigned so I logged out . I didn't oblige them to do anything .
    I have had several errors just by sensitivity of the Blackberry to truck movement . They can change anything they want any time they want .

    Right after you performed your pretrip, the load cancelled.

    Now, the company deleted the entry.

    Anyway you look at it, you altered the log.:biggrin_25514:

    But entering errors is permissible or the option wouldn't be there .

    It just proves the EOBR's are not any better than paper logs.
