I have 1 to 2 loads pre-planned on me at any given time. So you do not know what your talking about. I know what I've seen running both ways. You just like the others think by sticking your head in the sand and ignoring what's coming will make it go away. Well it want! The old ways and the old days are gone and people like you will be the ones hurting.

No where does it say you have to always take a 10 hour break in the sleeper. Nor does it say you have to always take full 10 hour break you can split break 8 where ever and 2 at the shipper, receiver or wherever.

    Read the quote below yours!

i know guys at elog companies who say they sit more now than ever, because planners and sales dont have their act together

and then the companies pay them layover after 24hrs, so guess what happens at the 23rd hour? they get a load that picks up tomorrow

i will say this, you guys can keep your elogs and your eobrs

they say it is coming anyway, that may be true, but if there we were in a line to be executed, i would not be the first, but the last to step forward

Especially out here west of Denver...every truck is "sitting more". Doesn't matter if the company is paper or E-log, the fact that freight is being a bit slow (economy), plus the fact that there are more trucks/companies competing for the freight....there is only so much to divide between all the trucks.

An additional factor is all of the Mexican and Canadian trucks added into the already declining freight volume....from my research, most all companies are only averaging 2200-2400 miles per week...and the advertising for drivers is promoting the same.

I plan my whole week before hand. No matter how much a company driver tries to argue the good in E-logs he will just never get it past. If company drivers want them they can have them. If owner ops want them they can have them. If big companies want them well so be it they should have them. But no one should be forced to have them. I will go out and buy a nice used truck on a loan just so the government has to pay off the loan when they try to force guys to buy newer trucks. If anyone thinks they can make a guy sell his truck and get a newer one or go to intrastate then you are just as crazy as they are. It will not happen within the next 20 years unless they do a cash for clucker deal with semi's and help guys into a newer truck.

Cali did it with trucks and reefers too. It doesn't matter if your Intra or Interstate.

The program in southern Cal went broke within 3 months...all clients had Hispanic last names. Northern Cal lasted an additional 4 months....they were mostly Serbian by name.

Just to make EZX100 and Volvodriver01 cringe I thought I'd share that I just got a phone call seeing if I wanted to do some work for another local company. They just started using EOBR's and what not. I guess they're looking for an executioners assistant.
