fuel reciepts back in the day were hand written so I always got a few blank xtras from a good friend but the scale never really looked at them they looked more at our weights and bingo stamps and log books but then again there were no such things as super coops as there are today.

Oh okay. I was curious since I don't get fuel receipts. Our company doesn't require us to keep them, but I can see if you're an o/o you would need them. Thanks for the info. Also, the coops these days feel like something out of a sci-fi movie

In the past several years I think I've only been asked once to show my fuel receipts... And I even had a level 1 at the beginning of the year and they didn't ask for them..

I'm talking more of internal investigations. In which they match your comdata card records with what's on your log book. That happens when DOT visits your company. Or you get in an accident and you injured somebody. They will pull out all the guns to get a big lawsuit or to convict you of manslaughter if there was a death.

Thats why the O/O pays cash. I always paid cash and kept the reciept for fuel taxes only. Comdata charges a fee and cash gets u discounts.

I'd be crazy to pay cash. 30 to 50 cent per gallon discount, off the cash price would be a huge cost, just to fudge a logbook.
