Why did all mega carriers stop using manual transmissions?

The slope is greatly reduced and all the switches are now within easy reach.

 

Same thing with small gauges I rearranged mine to suit me better in a cascadia

 

I especially like that little, useless triangular hole next to the cupholders. What the hell exactly can you use that for? A couple of coins?

 

I keep the keys to the saddle box in there. Nothing else fits.

 

The funny thing is that the Cascadias have had that useless thing there forever! How about that little square hole below the radio?

 

Remember when trucks had ashtray’s and cigarette lighters in them?
Now they have little useless nooks and crannies.

 

Paperclips - back when we used transflow it was great.

And the little hole under the radio is supposed to be a cell phone slot. My iPad classic fits in there nicely, but no smart phone I've ever had would.

 

Back when I used to carry a cowboy-style wallet it fit in there quite nicely. But lately I've just been keeping extra pens, a back scratcher, and the case for my clip-on sunglasses. I'm glad I'll be back in my Pete next week.
