My Moto G Stylus in an Otter Box fits nicely in there.

My boss moved the light switches on my T680 from the top center of the dash to the lower center close to the steering wheel, took him about 2 hours to move the switches and reprogram them.

Sometime last year I went to another terminal to bring back a new straight truck. It had an ash tray in it.

The ash tray now resides in my truck.

First. The OM and I love mega carriers.

From an ergonomic point of view that I don't think is seen, from many years of driving, I can tell you the arthritic places in my left knee and hip, coincide from pushing and holding the clutch.

The same can be said for my right shoulder from shifting.

I've heard these similar symptoms can be due to carrying a thick trifold wallet in left rear pants pocket, and catching the "beat" while playing with yourself during the "short rows".. Just heard, not certain....

After 37 years of shifting gears with just about every transmission known to man, you can keep your manual. I absolutely love my auto shift. One of the big attractions for newer drivers is driving a Big truck with a Big transmission and Lots of gears. And don't forget your tall in the saddle shifter.

I get it. I was a newbie too. The first time I drove an 18 speed transmission, I had to go through every single gear, even when I was empty. LOL

They even have a twin stick shifter kit so we can impress the world. One of the shifters actually serves as the splitter. LOLOL.

I also realize that there are some drivers out there who have been driving as long as I have and still swear by the manual and would never operate an auto shift and that's okay.

Just my view. That and $3 will buy you a cup of coffee.

Like I’ve said before, whatever transmission you want in your truck, have at it knock yourself out. What chaps me, are those that are implying to us that have manuals, and want them available in the future, are somehow ‘slowing the advance of humanity’ or ‘purposely making life difficult’ for others.

I started driving trucks later in life and after having grown tired of shifting gears in my cars for 30 some years. Not having to shift gears in a semi definitely made it easier for me to learn to become a steering wheel holder. And after learning just how annoying the Wingman system was after driving a truck without it I wonder what it would be like to drive semi that didn't have the drivetrain set up to maximize shirt term fuel savings.
I talked with a couple of drivers who'd bought old Millis trucks when I worked for them and they liked them after they removed the power restrictions.

Back in the late 1990s I had a couple of Meritor transmissions. I liked them better than the comparable Eaton trannies. They were tight as all get out when brand new, though. You had to be in the exact right spot to move the shift fork into mesh. Once you broke them in after 150,000 miles or so they shifted smoother than Eaton, though.

Automatics arent worth a #### on ice.

Manuals get better mileage with an experienced driver, are less prone to breakdowns, and are lighter.

Putting automatics in trucks serve but 1 purpose: to put bodies in the seat faster. They will save fuel with an inexperienced driver (which of course is pretty much all the megas have is inexperienced drivers for the most part).
