maybe you should get your truck fixed if your losing that much air doing a few (less than 6 pull ups)...I do auto parts and 3-5 pull ups is normal to get into some docks..

and the truck will still go into gear even down to 60psi.. I do it all the time when I hook a trailer that has no air in it and a few tires that are low (auto inflation system) I just hook up supply air. As soon as the brakes release pup it in gear and pull it out even with the low air buzzer going off...

This is true for my 2006 dm2 auto and my 2015 advance auto

I don’t have air leaks and the one I drive won’t go into gear below 90 psi.

Fuel savings and more people can drive autos. They also now have to pay a premium for a standard as manufacturers are offering automatics as the standard tranny option.

My 2023 VNL860 has 425hp and has 3 driving modes. If I need full power and aggressive shifting I set it for that which Volvo calls "performance" mode. But normal driving and either empty or bobtail, I can set to efficient, or if very light or empty, extreme efficiency. This truck will get over 11mpg empty and over 14mpg bobtail like that. And still be quite drivable. That's also carrying 225gal of fuel and a Tripac APU.

The new Volvos are incredible. That's all I can say. Out of the freightshakers, peterbilts, internationals and now the volvo, by far I like the Volvo the best. Best interior design also. It's just so driver friendly it's ridiculous. It's like, if you're inside the sleeper and you have a dark area, you think "I need a light right here" and you look up, and there is a light right there. They put a 12v cig lighter right next to the CB hole so if your radio has a cig lighter plug from the factory (as most come) you don't have to cut the factory wires. But they also hid a conventional pos and neg terminal inside the CB hole if you have bare wires you can STILL use those as well. There are USB plugs AND a cig lighter on the top of the dash right near the windshield for your GPS and cell phone chargers so you don't have to run wires down your dash that look tacky. Tons of storage. Huge stock fridge. The bottom bunk converts into a table and bench seats on both sides. I just leave it like that and sleep on the top bunk. I love it.

Ah, the sound of gear teeth chipping their ends.

Plus side: you can get that ride into 8th at 20nph at 600k on the odometer... without clutching.

Anything to make a person's labor less valuable and keep more money in the companies pocket.

    Accomplishes both.

Old time carpenters really complained about the circular saw taking away jobs because new guys couldn’t cut straight with a hand saw , don’t get me started on air nailers .. if this makes any sense than so does the manual only theory I guess.

So the megas don't actually purchase their trucks? They lease them?

What about the clutch linkage? I popped mine about 8 months ago so I was wondering how long it should last.

Honestly you couldn't give me another manual after driving an amt truck. I don't GAF about shifting gears anymore. Looks cool you shifting gears, wear yourself out.
