Considering that off road emission standards are now equal to the on road standards they didn't really dodge that bullet. All they did was gain 6 years of development time. Cat still produces a Tier 4 compliant C-15 but will not put it in anything that isn't built by them.

Your not referring to the cat vocational truck I'm guessing, your referring to earth movers?

That vocational truck was just a cornbinder with Cat logos on it. It was probably just a yellow Maxxfarce under the hood too.
Seems lately (and was told this by a Cat dealer as well) that Cat doesn't want their engines being put in other manufacturer's equipment or vehicles. They want to keep them exclusively for their own products.Oxbow and Oldironfan Thank this. -
Well cat needs a truck that is 100% their own.

Don't even say that. Their equipment is engineered to be a b#### to fix. They'd probably make you take half the truck apart to change filters.
