    I think the management idea is to "Divide and Conquer!" When your management is so insecure, the figure that the troops are going to be way out in front of them. They can't stand this, because they are no longer the "MAN IN CHARGE!":biggrin_25511:
    Sorry to hear that your grant did not work out km. Guess you will have to do it the hard way. Good Luck!

    IT'S HERE!!!!!!!

    Well, my DAC report came in and to my relief I am clean as a whistle when it comes to my DAC report. Actually, they could not find any information that matched my social security number. So, in other words I have no bad things on my DAC.

    Now I can put this behind me and focus in on the driving school. I wish Crete would had just mailed a letter saying I was declined instead of making up that I was declined because of my DAC. But I know they are slammed with apps and denial letters.

    Thanks again for everyone's help!

    kmfishing;

    I think it's simply awful that Crete, or any potential employer, would provide a false reason for rejecting a candidate. Think of your own reaction; you were concerned, FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER, that your DAC was corrupted. Wouldn't it have been more ethical, not to mention more humane, to reject you for the actual reason.

    It's a poor business practice, at best, not to be honest with your applicants. Who else are they being dishonest with? A customer "sorry we couldn't deliver on time because a volcano erupted in Iowa". The DOT "sorry, but the driver you inspected was from Jupiter and we were going to let him go due to a fake green card".

    There is no justification for dishonesty; they wouldn't accept it from us why is it acceptable for them?

    Just my 2 cents.

    Best Regards,

    O G

    I could not agree any more. I respect their decision not to hire me since I was a new driver trying to get on with a carrier who really only hires experienced drivers. But I wish they had at least shown me the same respect back by at least just saying I was declined. I would had loved a letter saying exactly why but please don't go and say I had a bad DAC report when in fact it was clean. That only slowed down my whole process and worry about my DAC being bad. So, it is just annoying that the same respect was not shown back. Sounds like that is common in the trucking industry from what I read. Still, I will continue with the trucking career and just take this as a learning experience. At least I know what a DAC is now LOL.

    DAC (Driver-A-Check) reports all driving history not just commercial.
    USIS is the reporting agency and they have a history of less than accurate reporting.

    If you're unemployed check with your unemployment agency, many States will send you to school at no charge to you. 15 minutes could save you $3,012.00.
