Why do all recruiters give me that 2500 mile/week BS guarantee?

    When the company states the average of the fleet is 2500 miles, end the conversation.... Bye bye... 2500=easy 4 day work week....not a 7 day 2-3 weeks out job.. not to mention thats the average so drivers are below 2500... IMO it would be a waist of time being OTR for 2500 miles a week...

    There are drivers that like to take time off, vacations, and sometimes you get sick, which will lower the average miles for any company.. That will bring down the average miles for the fleet..

    There are also drivers that DON'T want to run hard even when they are out.. Some like to run only 4/5 days a week, and that can bring down averages on miles per week..

    Do you like any company anywhere? I've seen you rip on mega carriers, small carriers, ltl carriers, union carriers, non union carriers. You probably rip on pizza drivers too lol

    I only work 5 days a week and if I really try I can get 2500 miles in 5 days. I average 2000-2500

    I never got less than 2700 when I worked for Schneider. If you can prove that you aren't afraid to run they'll give you miles. If they see that you're stopping every couple hours to dilly dally around at the truck stops you won't get many miles. That was my experience anyways.

    "If your company has a max log speed of 63 mph, you can run 690 miles per day in the 11 hours."
    Yeah maybe on a long-run that is going across the US where you dont have any PU/DEL seeing as if you do have even one you will probably start running your 14hr into your 11hr and lose some drive time.
    14hr = 1hr loss for Pre & Post Trip/30min break;30-45min loss fueling
    so now you down to approx 12HR where you can run 11hr as long as you have no PU/DEL to be done.
    Also running straight out for 11hr which means your total On-Duty time will be approx 12.5hr which means you will be sitting in the middle of day 5 with no hours...since your recap will not kickin for another day or two and same goes for your 34reset.
    If you did an average 8.5hr driving with total 9.5hr On Duty you still have hours after 7 days and you would still average 500+ mi day x7 days...and best thing is you will not be burned out within a week or two...

    I'm on western regional and I consider anything under 2750 miles per week is a bad week. On full weeks I usually get 3000-3500 miles but that's because I choose to. Show your dbl that you can run hard and make appointments and they'll give you the good loads. Complain a lot, constantly be late on appointments, etc and the miles and loads won't be as good.

    Every dbl I've had refers to me as their "money maker". I get at least 1 1000-1500 mile load per week, Usually 2 per week.
