That's so we can take a shower where they supply towels and the floor isn't a Petri dish.
Besides, it's more refreshing to hear drivers from other companies ######## for a change.
why do Bobtails do this?

It's a common courtesy not to waste an entire trailer parking space on a bobtail rig. You can park that thing anywhere.

However it sure does make getting the paperwork filled out a pain in the butt.
It made the job about an hour longer than it needed to be just trying to get the info you need to fill out the forms .
It makes a bad deal even worse at a time when a man is not in a great mood to start with but I do have to say as much as I wanted to I did not once raise my voice or threaten bodily harm !!!LOL
Now that even surprised me not even when I had to stop him from driving off !!!
Once again yes even English speaking idiots do it too it makes it allot harder than it needs to be by the fact they can't even communicate with you . -
You CANNOT park that thing anywhere .
You still have to park it where you are allowed to park it and where you are not blocking things up for others .
I will not park just anywhere just because I am out of hours or there is not anyplace left .
A big part of the reason people look down on us now is that drivers feel that they park anywhere they want because they have to take their 10 hour break .
Wal-Mart is not a truck stop or a rest area and should not be used as one in my opinion this is the reason allot of them won't let us in anymore !
It is a common courtesy to park in a parking spot made for trucks not where ever you feel like you want to .
In most cases there is no bobtail parking spots so until they post signs saying no bobtails in the truck parking spot then I continue to park in the truck parking spots. -
It's a common courtesy to park a bobtail tractor anywhere other than a big truck space whenever possible...there are always exceptions for example if the lot is empty or there are multiple bobtails in one space..and you don't have to bend over backwards either the point is if there is somewhere else on the lot you can park legally park there instead of taking a whole space..RV spaces are always a good option

so people didn't read the question
why do they park so far back into the spot? thats what I asked, not "why do you park in regular spots?" -
the reason walmart doesn't allow trucks is because we take up so many places, therefore customers can't park, also don't forget how uncomfortable people are around trucks anyway. and drivers leaving their urine bottles and bags of feces in the parking lot. (is it so hard to walk into the bathroom?) -
It is for the quiet.
It is rare I have ever had to park in a full spot in a truck stop when I am bobtail too many other choices of places to go. In the one or two times that I have done it, I do pull all the way to the back to avoid the noise of idlers/refers but then I put my old, beat up orange traffic cone at the front of the spot to let others know I am back there.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
cuz it had been answered, so i dont get my hood ripped off...
