This thread has gone from how deap in a spot you should park to if you should park a bobtail in a full size spot. Go figure.

Well if you don't park in full size spots, then you don't need to worry how deep you park.

yes it does....back in deep with a bob tail, so the person backing in next to you is less likely to hit your truck....where does that NOT make sense ??

Don't really feel sorry for people that roll out of bed at 0900 roll til 2100 and then complain that there are no spots left. Its pretty simple get up at 0500 like the rest of us and get to your night parking spot before it fills up and you wont have an issue. Always try to park in a bobtail spot if you can, and if you cant park wherever you need to. Sorry guys but the rest of the world wasn't put here just to cater to you.

    :D :D :D

Not everyone has daytime only deliveries or is afraid of the dark. If I'm running solo my preferred time to start is about 2:00 am local time. That way my 30 minute break is around the time the day runners are getting out of their parking spots and I can park and grab a shower. By the time I finish my day it's early afternoon and parking is wide open. Then I can eat dinner in the cab and watch the show as those that are afraid of the night come scrambling in to nest before the boogeyman comes. :D :D :D

I drive wherever and whenever the customer requires me to drive. If that means I am starting my 14 at 9:00 am and rolling in to a truck stop at 11:00 pm, then so be it. There's many a time like that I'll do my post trip and log off duty, sitting in the middle of the lot and waiting for a vampire to start their shift and open a parking space for me.

I will take a full truck parking space if there is no specific bobtail parking area.
    Whine all you want.
I don't park at the back of the slot, though, but maybe 5 feet behind where a tractor with a trailer would sit. Not so far back it looks like an empty space, but back a little to make it easier for the trucks on either side to get in and out, and also get away from engine and pau noise and exhaust from the other trucks.
Back into me all you want. I have two cameras running.
One is sure to get a plate, truck, or trailer number.

I don't park deep in the slot when bobtailing because I've woken up and found another bobtail parked in front of me, and the driver is nowhere to be found, or slow to get his sorry butt out of the sleeper.

When people play the 'courtesy' card its usually for a situation where you want the other person to do something for you, while you claim you never do anything that inconveniences somebody else.

Why do I find this unlikely?
