"More BS you have to go.."

Really? I hate to think that people deliberately hurt themselves over and over in self flagellation (Punishment by blood) in a industry that is not nice to them.

Not everyone here is O/O. I am a very good Company driver who is intent on making #### sure that load will arrive when it is possible to legally get it there excluding any fantasy appt times made by people I will never see or talk to in my life time. And you wonder why that box is arriving late again.

One of the best shippers in my life happen to be Mckesson. They do not do "Appointments" there is one arrival time required and that is usually sunrise to 7am local anywhere in the USA. Those medicines in the back of that trailer will be helping very sick people get better in hospitals by noon that day. If you are running late for whatever reasons, 5000 bosses tracking you already know it and are already cross sourcing the necessary meds for the most critical.

I could bite back about the BS CH Robinson did one time calling every blessed 15 minutes direct to my freaking truck which now by california law at that time stop and answer. I finally pulled the battery, it will get there when it gets there. It's almost 25 years after that particular trip and I am still cranky about it.

Sarcasm and dry wit unfortunately don't convey themselves very well through text. That's one of the main reason that e-mail correspondence isn't encouraged in this industry. That, and the FACT that most truck drivers can't read very well.

    Good luck to you too.

I bet you a steak dinner if you move one load for me I'll be your new best friend. Although I have to warn you that most of what I usually have to offer is flatbed freight.

If I told you that then you might stop driving a truck for a living and become my competition.

I don't mind transparency and honesty, but I'm not discussing numbers in open forum. If you really are looking for an honest agent and need freight to move then I'll gladly talk in PM. I will say that I have more loads on the east coast than west coast, and quite a bit in Texas and Oklahoma.

My times are always on the rate con, although I am given liberty on some things to advance them or make them more efficient.

    You need better quality brokers.

in other words. None. You are an employee of a large brokerage firm, just as every one suspected.

    Ruthless Thanks this.

There's one agent I deal with that is the direct agent for a shipper.
He has lots of competition there, and some of the bigger agents trying to muscle him out.
This particular man is a decorated Army Vet, and an honorable man, not your common garden variety slime bag.
They bigger guys were offering $1900 on a run that he always paid $1750 on.

I told him I deal with him, and that’s that, no worries.

Well he gave me $2000 for the last one.

Bottom line, just need to deal with better people.
