I don’t mind it so much in the daytime, particularly now with all these trucks having those daytime running lights.

At night on the other hand, there’s no reason for that.

Actually, if I may, high beam blinking began when drivers were not able to shut off the headlights. It is annoying, but the drivers are trying to do something, and I would even blink a "thank you" even though not sure what was worse, nothing or the high beams.

    Numb and OldeSkool Thank this.

You may, However what I was taught back in the 70's, Is that if you should not come back over, such as your not by me far enough yet, or something is in your way or a hole multitude of other things, it meant no not come back over, Danger Will Robinson Danger. Just what I was taught by a driver that was taught driving in the 50's (my Dad). So I'm surew there are lots of different things floating about , but this is the one I'm going with because to me, it just makes sense.

We do that as a "thank you" when you let us pass without much resistance. And we DO like it when you flash us to let us know that you are allowing us to pass.

No one on here has a problem with flashing your low beams, just not your high beams.

    TruckDriver87 and OldeSkool Thank this.

In my city, blinking means there is police up ahead, be careful and drive carefully.

In my day, it was blinking lights and "tuning bars", the peace sign held sideways indicated a radar ahead.

Nowadays the white Volvos throw a flip flop at your rig and wave their arms like they just don’t care.

Hey now! I have a white Volvo and only wear flip-flops in the shower.
