    For the most powerful engines, you need wheels with hub reduction
    operating conditions require hub reduction far earlier than most powerful engine, since we are still talking about max 530hp. i will never let work truck to be used off paved road without hub reduction

    These swing axles are not your every day swing axle, they are massive
    can you find a photo where and how are they attached so we can take discussion about that further.
    as i said earlier axle guidance system take huge amount of work, on normal trucks it is ok if axle moves little bit, here this represent a problem. those movement will eventually lead to more clearness in bearings and gears, that will lead to increased wear on everything.

    Those rubber covers are extremely flexible, i'm sure they will last very long.
    well they can last on FWD car that is being used on road for 15-20years....

    Look, it's quite simple. The more load you can haul with a truck, the more fuel efficient the truck will run, and the lower the wages per tonne. Bigger trucks are more economical, that's why we see 60 tonne trucks on the highway, and that's why in Finland trucks are reaching the 90 tonne limit. It's good for the economy, and for the environment.

    here in series of arocs (since 2013) not a single one 8x8 was ever sold in whole country (in civil use).
    initial price is higher but not too much to be impossible to buy one 10% is reasonable cost
    it weights about 1200kg more
    we should count on about 15% more fuel
    if used on road, more tire wear, all together tire life should be better
    huge expenses for repairing when it gets old

    prices listed on few pages here are quite high, these are mining trucks heavily modified with hydraulic suspension, hydraulic steering of rear axles special tipper bodies etc.
    if you want to buy something from 8x8 world it is not that expensive. if you are looking into money you can get 8x8 tipper for about 130 000€

    Complicated is not the same as fragile. And in reality, I don't think the system is that complicated.

    German wages are also much higher than Polish wages.
