why do some drivers tailgate?

    When they try to go with self driving trucks they will change back to cab overs and only leave feet between them to eliminate as much drag as possible, do not know how the public will take that when there is 15 trucks in a line doing that,

    The same as they do now. Left lane restrictions, no truck expressways, banishment.

    I always see them in Denver on I-25. Some 4-wheeler, usually a minivan, suck on my butt and slowing down more doesn't help.

    I know what they are thinking, fine whatever, I don't mind helping someone out. But when it comes to a point of no return when you are trusting someone else with "everything" to save pennies, it's just not worth the trouble.

    thats not what i was getting at. my trailer is 45 feet long if they are tailgating me, there is a 45 foot tanker between me and them. that's what i was getting at

    i back off the gas, they get annoyed that they too are slowing down, then they pass me. always worked for me. can;t say about your area.
