I saw a bunch of trucks hauling ### last night on 30 eastbound between Texarkana and Little Rock. It was dark, middle of the night, pouring down rain and spray coming off of these trucks made visibily be counted in feet. I was doing 58 and felt like I was way over driving my visibility and these trucks were blowing my doors off with 10 feet between them. Yea it was frustrating knowing my truck was actually faster than most of the trucks passing me, but not in those conditions.
why do some drivers tailgate?

What kills me the most is some drivers want to tailgate you on a long straightaway with no one behind us. The best cure I ve found is to pull down that trolley valve, and I laugh my butt off when they almost roll the truck to keep from running into the back of me

Same reason some tailgate is the same reason they merge back in front of you within 30ft with no one behind them... they are idiots. Same ones flick their cig butts out the window as you go to pass them, bouncing off the front of your bumper. Now that gets my blood pressure up right there.
