You need a new insult, you've used the same one three times. And for the record there's nothing wrong with being an Englishman. Does your xenophobia extend to other races as well? Emoticons are for twelve year olds, and even they know its not cool to use more than a couple at a time...

I think that perhaps the very biggest concern with teaming, is pointed out simply by reading the OP's posts. I doubt that too many people could stand to be teamed with that driver.

Demonize my company team drivers.
Because they stay up together all the time.
Then complain about low miles.
Solo driver brings in local load going across country to that team to accommodate said team.
Solo drivers picks up another load (maybe) going 200 miles down the road.
Teams hurt my bottom line or the ones that give them all bad name anyway.
If I see you up together I will call you out and ask why. -
Go to any immigrant outfit in Chicago. They'll run you like a team SOLO. All the miles you can handle. Personally I don't like running like that. It's dangerous and you get burned out real quick.
-
I don't mind teaming if co driver is clean and professional. And todays age with the new HOS it allows you to still get good miles and decent check

I think I've teemed with everyone, bad and good, two woman. Only one guy I wanted to blank blank in the mouth. Other than that, teaming has been fun, for the most part. Solo was fun to, but you have to work much harder at it than on a team truck. When on your own, got to do everything just right the first time to be safe, save time, and get the MONEY. My not have a boss, but you will be yelling at yourself at times when solo. Nothing like kicking your own A ss. Just Saying

Hard to sleep in a moving truck, esp when its bumping up n down on a bad road or if concerned that there is a new driver behind the wheel and might wake up in the ditch.
One benefit I like is the reduced idle time if you team. The only time truck would be off is during shipping/receiving, fuel, food, etc. Other than that the truck will be on cause it'll be moving 24/7 so you'll have electric, heating, and cooling. Less idle time due to teaming should help with MPG too.
Can help with the loneliness but now everyone is on their Bluetooth headsets talking to their wife or gf, so the loneliness benefit would be more for the single people out there.
Sharing limited space can be interesting if one of the drivers has to bring his whole apartment with them. Also other driver could have bad habits, farting, snoring, etc. I'm sure if you team with someone you know, then these would be less of an issue.FEELTHEWHEEL Thanks this. -
Farting is NOT a "bad habit!" It's a "way of life!"

... except when its the other guy doing it
Big Don, Hammer166 and CertifiedSweetie Thank this. -
Don't know much myself but I know my brother couldn't do it cause he didn't trust the other driver well enough to sleep did it for three days then told boss forget team he wanted solo
