Lonely?
I can remember picking up many loads in Salinas headed to the East Coast for delivery 5 days later. Enroute, i never spoke a word to another person. No cb conversation or interaction at the truck stop.
Some people, like me, can get by just fine without having to tell the world my business.

 

I have never had any desire to share my thoughts or life story with complete strangers at a lunch counter or drivers lounge. Although, I must admit it can sometimes be quite entertaining to listen to some of the BS and tall tales that resonate in those places
