why do YOU hate CA?

Best part is CHP doesn't know the difference and I never have put wide load signs at 108", never been stopped for it either...blew out a tire once up 50 in Placerville and a CHP officer stopped to talk to me, didn't notice it I guess. =)

 

ya had to be escorted and permited .... Right? ..... Every time until i got to know the local law dogs i was always getting pulled to the side and measured .... Well for length anyways... I asked about oversize and was told 102 max.... I left it at that ..... When dealing with chp or the dot man awnser what he/she asks and leave the rest alone.... No doubt

when I went up at 119" I had the wide load signs, no escort, and nobody bothered me, boats are deceivingly large I guess =)

 

or they were busy or not even around..... They do not like coming out in the rain or snow unless you really #### them off by doing something stupid... Just be cool on the stool.... No doubt

 

Sunny summer day up through Applegate on I-80 means swarms of CHP...I got lucky or they just didn't care =)

I cant wait to get home to Cali, been in the midwest and southeast for a month, iam sick of the flatlands. But i enjoy a little of all the states. Cali is hard on O/O, my Dads friend has been a O/O for almost 40 years in Cali, but he has the cash to all it quits now. He liked alot of places around the U.S. but said he would not live anywhere else. You can be in the high country in the morning and on the ocean that same night, and the weather is always great, unless you live in the other state, southern Cali, you can keep that hole.

 

Don't forget the scales in Red Bluff, Santa Nella, and S/O of Bishop there is a "porta-scale" DOT running right now......

The state is broke and truckers have lots of $$$$$$$

But CHP for the most part have treated me the same I way I treat them....with respect.

 

heck..... ITS BEEN YEARS SINCE I HAVE BEEN JAMMIN DOWN OUT IN SHAKEY . IF YA WANNA GET TECHNICAL THE CONCORD SCALES WILL GET YOUR ### TOO.
