Why do you keep pulling for cheap rates???!!!

    You don't need to worry about oil samples with an older truck either, I don't know anybody who does them.

    @TripleSix got into words something along the lines of what I was thinking. If those who have "low" overhead could get it into their heads to work for the same rates as guys with high overhead or know to not work cheap, they could be making a pile of money rather than struggling. If they could see the value in not running cheap or taking loads that need to be left at the shipper we all would be better for it. Unfortunately we will never see that happen.

    What exactly is a low paying load? Everyone has a different opinion. I think $1.98/mile is low. Many others would think that’s a great rate.

    1.98 a loaded mile is a little low to me too, 1.98 all miles isn't too bad though.

    Im on % . 200 bucks is 1.40 on reefer side. My op cost are 1.05 so thats .35 . $2 is welfare but i got truck payments to so .

    I figure my break even, including paying myself 50 cents a mile right 1.70 or so a mile, and 25 cents a mile of that is trailer expense, doesn't actually cost me that but estimate expenses a little high is better than low to me.
