I've pulled dry box, container, now RGN.
This is where I belong. Physical and mentally taxing.
A new challenge EVERY day, especially the OD side.
Definitely more $, and the pride in a job well done...
nothin like it. Oh, and pullin threw the chicken coupes,
gettin inspected, and passin with flyin colors.....PRICELESS -
I love a flatbed, why would anyone wnat to do anything else?
Lots quicker going through fl. ag. inspection station too.
Only thing I don't like is hauling containers. -
Everything else is boring, pulled turnpikes for a year yeehaw. Two 53 ft cheap freight trailers, pulled cars for a year. Woo go to the same dealerships every night(was kinda cool to drive brand new cars before the dealers even saw them) this is what I belong doing, I mean what other driving job can you take a picture of your rig every week and never have it look the same twice? (OK the odd dedicated customer even then rarely identical for me) and I don't have to listen to a reefer generally except the one running beside me

Cause I don't like being some warehouses free labor. Oh yea I like the challenges too. One other thing it pays better

It just doesn't get any better than loading and unloading the trailer yourself....arrive at shipper, drive the equipment on the trailer (usually), arrive at consignee, drive the equipment off the trailer, find somebody to sign the BOL...and I'm on my way to the next one.
Then there are the auctions in Florida, and that soft sandy ground....but thats another story...got stuck twice today before I even got in position to detach the trailer (RGN)...LOL...but, I was not the only one.
