It ain't like it use to be! Most of these drivers can't drive! You really have to watch when they pass you because they will drift over into your lane. I don't think they have a clue! Back in the "old days" a good part of your learning to drive education was the comments on the CB when you screwed up! Now, with few radios out there, these new drivers have no idea what they are doing wrong so they aren't learning any better. I get frustrated having to share the road with trucks these days.
Why do you use echo?

I dont use echo although my radio has the feature…i hear echo usually can’t understand a word they says,,i mute them
Good to hear it’s not just my area. I got delayed 6 times this week on a 220 stretch i run…trucks running off the road or into each other at an alarming rate and its always the usual suspects at the wheel -
Back on topic, and I may have already answered this; but I do use echo. But it would take a discerning ear to tell. Like a lot of things, a little bit is good, too much ruins it.

I use echo because I don't want anybody to understand what I'm saying.

People use echo boxes to hog every last bit of aural space. And also to compensate for having a small member....

I know a guy that had the best sounding radio I ever heard. I think he used a bit of echo, but it just made his voice have more of a ring to it or something. I’ve always thought it was dumb when I hear guys gushing over how good other guys sound on the radio, but his really did sound fairly good. It went along with the Pete quite well. I suppose voice tone has a lot to do with it too.

I've always felt that the popular echo boards isn't so much about the echo, but about the loud and clear sound of the amplified board itself. I did buy a couple of boards a few years ago called Loudmouth. They were easy to install and no dumb echo or noise toys sounds. At least dumb to me. The only thing that maybe most guys wouldn't like about these boards, is that you have to buy an electret microphone to use with it, unless you already own one. I bought a couple of Uniden electret mics for $16 each. I think they look and sound great. Unfortunately they quit making the Loudmouth boards. I felt they were on the right track to making a radio sound really good.

Have you looked at the new AT-6666 PRO? ALL the echo controls are now in the menu system. No more opening up the radio to adjust it. Much easier.Diesel Dave Thanks this.
