yes sir... never seen one for myself, but I was getting some pretty interesting stories on some flatbeds you see up there with 16 axles.
Ive seen some pretty cool equipment as such in that Cranes & Rigging magazine thats sent out by the SCRA, cant think of the name of it right now... but it's amazing the weight you can handle by adding a dozen axles!

I don't want to see the tire bill for those Michigan trains
-
My thoughts exactly. I wonder how much one of those suckers run?
... now Im in investigative thoughts.... dont worry. I'll find out lol -
well you can figure in the area of $500 per tire if they are running virgin tires. If they are recaping there own then probably $150 each plus mount and ballence which can double that

Backhauls,......this is what happens when a bunch of drivers have a lower break even point,..or they need to make a truck payment before the repo-man pays a visit.
Better get used to it,..it will get worse before it gets better,....if it ever does get better. -
45,000lbs of bricks 360 miles $450.00= $1.25 mile,...any takers??
-
oh oh!! ME! I'll do it for $1 but only if I can get aother 2K pounds on there.
-
I myself feel there is no such thing as a back haul. It cost me the same to go there as it does to get back. I refuse to haul CHEAP FREIGHT.....They need to realize that the truck is there to make money not haul for something to do.

Sold,.....to Medicineman, rate confirmation is on its way.......also since you're such a good sport,...I'll throw in some OOR miles, a 38 mile dirt/mud road,...and 4 underpaid workers to unload it by hand.
